GENERAL
A MASSIVE congratulations to our 1st Team Squad and Management Team who today have been announced as the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division Team of the Month
Dudley Town Management and 1st Team players will again be visiting the Childrens Ward of Russells Hall Hospital to distribute gifts on Tuesday 22nd December. If anyone would like to make a donation towards the cost of the gifts please contact Stephen Austin.
1st Team
Well our league revival continues. Saturdays 4-2 win away at Darlaston saw us climb to our highest position of the season, 4th place, in recording our 7th consecutive league win and making it 9 wins out of 10 league games.
A big welcome back to the club to Rob Blair who made a fantastic re-appearance for the 1st Team after spells away from Dudley with Tividale, Cradley Town and Oldbury Athletic. Rob gave a faultless display and looked as though he had never been away.
It also appears that Jake Morgan will be stopping with the Robins once again proving that our players really think we are in with a chance of success this season.
Another milestone on Saturday with young winger Mensah Kinch making his 50th appearance for the Robins. Former Boston United player, Mensah is a really exciting player and at his best a matchwinner in his own right. Let's hope he continues to improve and create havoc for defences throughout the season.
Last Tuesday saw us bow out of the Birmingham Midweek Floodlit Cup at the first attempt against a spirited Gornal Athletic side. Despite 3 good goals from Alex Perry, Mensah Kinch and Calum Martin, a much changed side and a whole host of injuries on the night meant that this was 1 game to many in the middle of a hectic l;eague schedule.
Still chance for cup silverware this season with matches still to play in the JW Hunt Cup, Presidents Cup and our League Cup.
Under 21's
Lost for the first time in a number of weeks against Under 21 League Leaders On the Ball by three goals to nil.
Under 18's
Our Under 18 team had a well deserved 3-1 victory against Gornal Athletic last Monday. Goals included those from first team players Alex Perry and Richard Hill. It is always good to see members of the management committee and 1st Team football management team supporting our Under 18 games.
On Monday 2nd November, the team comfortably beat Blackheath at the Dell by 5 goals to one including goals from Khalil Hussain (2), Danny Hirons and Alex Perry
Under 17's
Despite clawing back a two goal defecit, our Under 17's side went down 4-2 at home against Diffusion Youth. This is the first time that I (Stephen Austin) have seen our Under 17 team and they certainly have some talented players. I am sure that they will start picking up points in the league and climb back up the table.
Under 15's
Hat-tricks from goal machine Marley Hamilton and Tom Everill, along with strikes from Alex Colesby, Jordan Mitchel and Jack Serrell saw Dudleys Under 15's continue their 100% start to the season with a magnificent 9-1 victory away against Tipton Olympic. I (Stephen Austin) watched the game and to say some people claiming they are a one man team, this is completely untrue. Goals spread across the side and an all round fantastic TEAM performance was the key and they surely will take some stopping this season
Under 14's
Congratulations to our Under 14 Academy side who won their first National Phase fixture in the Midland Premier Youth Academy League. They defeated Bristol based side JSSI at home by four goals to one. Well done to Paul and the side after a tough start and introduction to this standard of football.
Under 10's
Despite a valiant 3 goal fightback with 2 goals from Harry Whale and 1 from William Broadhouse, this could not prevent our under 10 side losing at home to Kewford Eagles East Under 10 side by 4 goals to 3. The gusty conditions certainly spoilt the game, however it was the same for both sides and Dudley threw everything into the game in the 2nd half but could not quite get the equaliser
