NEWSLETTER - Sunday 8th November

GENERAL

A massive congratulations and thank you to first team and club captain Chris Waterhouse in making his 150th appearance for the Robins in the weekend away draw at Bewdley Town. Chris is certainly a fans favourite as an all round fantastic footballer and nice bloke!!  He is Dudley Town through and through and his commitment has never wavered in his 4 seasons with the club. Commitment like this at our standard of football is a rarity and undoubtedly Chris could have and still would be able to compete at a much higher standard. We are lucky to have such a player!!

Well done on this achievement and a big thank you from the entire Management Committee

1st Team

Although breaking our run of 8 successive wins, we are unbeaten in 9 following a crediable and hard earned draw at Bewdley Town on Saturday afternoon. After being 2-0 down at half-time and 3-1 down with 15 mins to go, our never say die attitude paid off to gain a point and make ground on leaders Ellesmere Rangers who surprisingly lost at home to Goodrich. We maintained our 3rd position with Oldbury Athletic also crashing to a 4-0 defeat.

Danny Ashton's 14th goal of the season, along with Calum Martins 6th and Mensah Kinch 5th goals of the season meant we left Bewdley happier than in the last few seasons - with a retunr for our hard working performance.

Reminder that we are at home on Wednesday night against Black Country Rangers in the JW Hunt Cup. Please come along and support us

Under 18's

Another victory last Monday for our Under 18's at home against Blackheath Town by 5 goals to 1. Under 18 captain and 1st Team player Alex Perry was once again on the scoresheet.

Our Under 18's are away in the cup against Wolverhampton Casuals on Wednesday 11th November.

Under 21's

Our Under 21's bounced back afetr a 3-0 reverse at league leaders On the Ball last week with a 2-1 victory over Pelsall Villa. Goals from new signing Oliver Clarke and Andy Scott, sealed the victory for our team on Sunday afternoon.

Under 17's

A great victory on Sunday afternoon in the 1st Round of the League Cup when our lads beat Diffusion Youth at home today by 4 goals to nil. Scorers for Dudley were Jack Leavesley (2), Brad Allen and Aaron Dunn. Well done and best of luck in the next round.

Under 15's

No game this week for our Under 15's this week, but will maintain their top spot in the lague as at present they are pulling away from 2nd place Willienhall Town Colts. Please read Under 15 section of website to see league table and the impressive form of our great Under 15 team

Under 14's

Dudley Town 0 Wednesfield 5

A good game right from the off with Wednesfield physically dominating the first half and creating some good chances which put them 3 up going into the break. Dudley gave too much respect to the visitors throughout the first half which at this level is'nt good enough and you will get punished. Second half Dudley started to show signs of what they can do and at times looked very good until again they made two sloppy errors at the back and were punished with two more goals. Well done Wednesfield .

Congratulations to goalkeeper Christopher Yale who was nominated as the opponents Man of the Match by Wednesfield after an outstanding performance  (Gold Award). Silver Award went to Dudley substitute Regen Evans and a Bronze Award to Dudley Town No 10. Jack Hickman

Under 10's

Our young side were again on the wrong side of a game away against Cradley Cobras on Sunday morning, losing by 2 goals to nil. In a close game, 0-0 at half time, 2 late goals sank Dudley under the watchful eye of an onlooking Walsall FC Youth scout. He was extremely impressed by a number of players on both sides.
